In the UK, VAT relief is available on wigs and hairpieces if your hair loss is due to a medical reason such as chemotherapy, alopecia, hormonal imbalances, or medication side effects. To claim this exemption, you’ll need to complete the VAT relief form (available via the link at the bottom of our website).
If you are not eligible for VAT exemption, VAT will need to be added to your order. For further details on eligibility, please refer to the official guidance on the HMRC website. If you do not complete the form, a separate invoice for the VAT will be sent to you.

Every Sharni Knighton wig is a wearable piece of hair and may sit slightly differently depending on your head shape, measurements, height, posture, and personal styling preferences. Wig lengths are measured from the crown of the head rather than the nape, meaning they can appear different compared to hair extensions.

I believe your wig should feel personal to you. Many of our ready-to-ship wigs can be lightly customised during the finishing process, including subtle styling adjustments, fringe shaping, layering, and fit refinements where suitable. Clients are also welcome to send inspiration images to help guide the final look and overall finish.

If you are looking for something more tailored, you can also purchase from our custom-made wig range. Our custom-made wigs are built more personally around your chosen size, colour, length, density, and styling preferences, with an estimated lead time of approximately 6–8 weeks.
